grAcefulAM is an Erasmus+ innovation project focused on closing the critical skills gap in Additive Manufacturing - especially in Directed Energy Deposition (DED) and Powder Bed Fusion (PBF). As AM technologies become more complex, industries urgently need inspectors capable of identifying defects, ensuring part integrity, and supporting high‑value manufacturing.
The project responds to this need by developing specialised training programmes and creating an AI‑supported learning platform that enables personalised, adaptive, and self‑paced upskilling. This approach enhances workforce readiness, strengthens VET and Higher Education capacity, and aligns with Europe’s digital transformation and sustainability priorities.
